It's citrus season in our backyard - lemons, clementines, and kumquats. We think there's a lime tree by the pool but we haven't found any fruit on it yet. Hopefully next year, we'll be able to enjoy some limes for a delicious key lime pie. Despite my protests, my husband diligently pruned the lemon tree since we moved into the house in April. As a result, we have juicy plump lemons. With far more lemons than the amount of lemonade we can drink, this led to the creation of the lemon glazed cookies. With zest and juice inside and on the cookie, this cookie gives off a nice fragrance. Enjoy!
Lemons, clementines, and kumquats? Ahhh, gotta love the CA climate! All we have here in Dallas are acorns + leaves on the ground waiting to be composted.
ReplyDeleteDo you have persimmons too?
