Crab cakes!

One of the perks of living in California is being so close to the ocean and its abundance of fresh seafood. With numerous fisherman's wharfs and boardwalks, it's a wonderful treat to be able to stroll down mom and pop shops and pick out the fresh catches of the day and watch them steamed in front of you. Since it was pouring this past weekend which was the perfect weather to curl up in sweats on the couch, we stayed in and attempted to re-create one of our favorites - crab cakes. In restaurants, you often get 2-3 tiny pieces that are mostly filled with bread crumbs. You have to search really hard for that crab meat. Hope you like our version:
