It's almost Fall!

One of our favorite things during the fall season is browsing through the pumpkin patches at various empty parking lots and finding the most unique or enormous ones. We attempted to recreate this with a pumpkin patch in our garden this year.  However, it turned out to be a single pumpkin plant instead.  Out of the 6 seeds we sowed, only one sprouted.  Perhaps peafowl are to blame for this.  Despite the odds, we had a good harvest - about 15 pumpkins of varying pumpkin-like dimensions. They will probably not win any awards at the county fair but we're still quite proud of them.
