Caramel Cupcakes!

My husband likes caramel - on cheesecakes, on ice cream, on almost everything. I attempted these caramel cupcakes to satisfy his taste buds. Other than caramel swirls in the batter, I also cooked a batch of fresh caramel to mix with the buttercream frosting. Concerned that the caramel may harden quickly, I was a little overzealous in combining the buttercream with the caramel; thus, it doesn't display a distinct swirl. Hope you enjoy them!
